Description

1 Day – Arrival to Cairo

Arrival at Cairo International Airport. Reception by a Spanish-speaking assistant and transfer to the hotel. Accommodation.


2 Day Cairo – Pyramids– Train to Aswan (B,L,D)

Breakfast at the hotel. In the morning we will make a panoramic visit of the Three Pyramids of Giza: Khufu, Khafre, and Menkaure, the architectural ensemble considered the most important of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World of the Ancient World. We will visit the Great Sphinx which is the human head of King Khafre and the body of a lion and we will visit the Temple of Khafre. Kefren and body of a lion and we will visit the Temple of Kefren. Stop for lunch. In the afternoon, visit Memphis, (an open-air museum where we can watch several colossal statues of Ramses II, a great sphinx and other archaeological remains). Transfer to the train station and departure around 8:00 p.m. by train with sleeper (Half Board) to Aswan. Dinner in the Train.

 

3 Day Train – Aswan - Cruise (B,L,D)

Breakfast on the train and arrival in Aswan around 9 am. Transfer to the ship and boarding the cruise. Lunch on board. We will visit the High Dam

considered the largest in the world at the time, with a body of 3,800 meters and a height of 111 meters. We will continue to see the Unfinished Obelisk, 42 meters long and weighing 1,176 tons, in the pink granite quarries. We will continue to visit the Philae temple or temple of the goddess Isis, built in Greek times and transferred to the Egelikia island to save it from the waters of the Nile after making the dam. Finally, we will take a felucca ride around the Aswan islands. Return, dinner and night on board in Aswan.

 

4 Day Cruise - Aswan– Kom Ombo – Edfu(B, L, D)

Full board on board of the Ship. We will head to Kom Ombo to visit to the temple dedicated to the gods Sobek and Haroreis. In this temple, the representation of the medical instruments stands out above all. Over the years, the people of this town did not like to be associated with a god that represents evil (Sobek), so they added another god, Haroreis, as their brother and partner in the temple cult. Legend has it that Sobek, the evil Brother, schemed against his brother Haroreis and the population, seeing his beloved god leave the town, also left until he left the town completely deserted. We will head to Edfu. Dinner on board of the ship.

 

5 Day Cruise – Edfu – Esna - Luxor (B, L, D)

Full board on board of the ship. Visit to the Temple of Horus. It is the best-preserved temple in Egypt and the most important after Karnak. One of its

most curious characteristics is the lighting of the temple, with very small rooms that gradually prevented the passage of light until reaching the dark sanctuary, which receives lighting only from the axis. We will head to Luxor. Visit the Temple of Karnak which is considered the largest temple in Egypt with its Avenue of Rams and its room with 132 columns and visit the Temple of Luxor dedicated to the god Amun - Ra where the avenue of the sphinxes stands out. the Obelisk with more than 25 meters high and the statues of Ramses II and the Naos. Dinner and night on board in Luxor.

 

6 Day Disembarkation in LUXOR – train to Cairo (D, C)

We will disembark the ship after breakfast. Visit the Valley of the Kings where the tombs of the kings of the new empire are located when Thebes

(Luxor now) was the capital of Ancient Egypt and we will visit the funerary temple of Hatchepsut. When we arrive, we will be able to admire the chapels dedicated to Amenirdis I, Shepenwepet II and Nitocris I. Later, we will find the Colossi of Memnon, two seated colossi of Pharaoh Ramses II of which only fragments of the base and torso of 17 meters high. In the afternoon, transfer to the train station and departure around 8:00 p.m. by

sleeper train (half board) to Cairo. Dinner and night on the train.

 

7 Day Cairo (B, L)

Arrival in Cairo around 06:00. After breakfast on the train, we will make a cultural tour of the city of Cairo to see the Citadel of Saladin, declared a World Heritage Site and which has the Mohamed Ali Mosque or "Alabaster Mosque" and the Egyptian Museum of Antiquities, where the treasures of Tutankhamun are located. We will continue our visits today knowing the Coptic neighborhood, which is where the church of San Sergio is located, where the Holy Family took refuge. Lunch in a typical restaurant and free time to shop in the famous Khan el Khalili market. Transfer to the hotel and accommodation.


8 Day Cairo – Airport (B)

Breakfast at the hotel. Check out and transfer to Cairo International Airport.
