Le Havre is a port city located at the mouth of the Seine River, on the English Channel in the Upper Normandy region of France. The name "Le Havre" translates to "the harbor" in English. Historically, Le Havre has always served as the harbor for Paris, with goods being transferred there between ocean-going vessels and barges that travel to Paris via the Seine River. Le Havre was heavily bombed during the Battle of Normandy. The town's reconstruction was led by August Perret, who used reinforced concrete. This project resulted in the city being added to the UNESCO World Heritage List. The most significant places to visit in Le Havre include St. Joseph's Church, the Cathedrale Notre Dame, the Maison de l'Armateur, and the Town Hall, which is situated on one of the largest squares in France. Visitors can climb the tower for a panoramic view of the city's layout.

Day 2
london (tilbury), uk
Arrival: 08:30 - Departure: 18:00
Among all European capitals, London holds the most profound place in the hearts of travelers. We become familiar with London even before we realize its existence, and when we finally visit the city, it never fails to meet our expectations. The iconic red double-decker buses, the police officers and stoic guards at Buckingham Palace, the historic Westminster Abbey, and the familiar chimes of Big Ben, all of which we've heard of before, greet us with a sense of satisfaction. However, London is full of surprises. It's not just a quaint city. It's not merely a museum, even though you could spend all your time hopping from one to another. It's a bustling, sprawling metropolis, filled with traffic jams, stores, and an incredibly diverse international population. Explore the numerous monuments that span nearly a thousand years of history, from Chaucer's grave to the pub where the Mayflower's captain drank, to Piccadilly Circus, one of London's most photographed locations. But don't overlook modern London, with its vibrant theatre scene, international cuisine, political protests, the latest in music and fashion, punks and aristocrats, and everyone in between. In 1777, writer Samuel Johnson said, "When a man is tired of London, he is tired of life," and this statement still holds true. There's something new to experience every day in London.

Bordeaux is a vibrant and expansive city where wine continues to flow and churches remain standing. Its streets are adorned with appealing shopping arcades and beautiful 18th-century riverfront facades. This city is a haven for wine enthusiasts and an ideal choice for a romantic getaway. Perhaps the most notable feature of the Cathédrale St-André is the diverse array of flying buttresses that surround it. To the right of the main portico is a 16th-century buttress made up of a series of slender columns. Next to the Church of St-Michel is the equally stunning, free-standing bell tower, a commanding and hollow structure. If you've ever been curious about Flamboyant Gothic, these buildings provide an unparalleled definition of the style. Also not to be overlooked is Bordeaux’s Romanesque representative, the Church of Ste-Croix, with its richly decorated facade. And of course, you can't leave Bordeaux without visiting the Maison du Vin, which offers free tastings of regional wines. The city is also within easy reach of the sublime, immensely enjoyable Dune du Pilat, a colossal mountain of silky sand that seems to bring out the acrobat in everyone.

Bilbao is the capital of Biscay in the Basque Country, in northern Spain. The city is situated on the banks of the Nervión, a tidal river. Until the 1990s, Bilbao was a large, gray industrial town, serving as the economic heart of the Basque Country. However, since the opening of a new Guggenheim Museum by the river, the city has transformed into an artistic and stylish destination and is now a major tourist attraction. The main draw that put Bilbao on the map was the construction of the Guggenheim Museum by Frank Gehry, which is now one of Spain’s most visited attractions. The building is impressive, and there are some very interesting sculptures outside the museum and in the atrium. Centered on the Plaza Nueva, a busy and colorful square, and the Santiago Cathedral, the old quarter of Bilbao is quite compact, and a walk around its streets doesn't take long. The impressive church of San Nicolas, built in 1743 in honor of the sailors from Bilbao, stands at the entrance to the Casco Viejo. Located in the very heart of Bilbao's old center, the cathedral of Bilbao is the oldest church in the city and the main Gothic construction in Biscay. Vibrant and exciting, Bilbao is famous for its great food, culture, and active nightlife.

Located in a striking valley carved by the Douro River, Porto is renowned for its beautiful architecture and the sweet flavor of its wine. The city's focal point is Avenida dos Aliados, a broad avenue surrounded by Praça General H. Delgado and Praça da Liberdade. However, the most captivating part of the city is Ribeira, the river district and a Unesco World Heritage Site, where three of Europe's most elegant bridges cross the gorge. The bustling Praça da Liberdade and the adjacent Avenida dos Aliados form the city center, where statues are positioned in the middle of busy mosaic pathways. Nearby stands Porto's magnificent cathedral, a massive, fortified Romanesque building with heavy granite foundations, thick walls, and small windows that enclose a dark interior. The Ribeira extends along the river, bordered by a fantastic quay filled with shops and restaurants. Porto's most iconic monument, the ornate Torre dos Clérigos, provides a citywide view from the top of its 240 steps. A trip to Porto wouldn't be complete without a stop at some of the many bodegas, or wine lodges, where port is stored and bottled. A visit to the incredible Lello library, with its spiral staircase, is also a must-see, even if you're not a Harry Potter fan.

Day 10
lisbon, portugal
Arrival: 07:00
Lisbon is recognized as the city of seven hills due to its geographical position, with the city sprawling across steep hillsides that overlook the Rio Tajo. The city, both romantic and cosmopolitan, showcases its characteristic red rooftops to visitors eager to explore every corner. Lisbon astonishes with its natural beauty and laid-back ambiance. The capital of Portugal boasts numerous museums, libraries, a vast port, churches, palaces, and breathtaking views of the Rio Tajo. Once considered a poor and chaotic city, Lisbon has undergone a revival reminiscent of the 14th and 15th centuries when it was part of a vast empire stretching from Brazil to India. This resurgence was sparked by the World Expo held in 1998, which led to the construction of a new bridge over the Tagus and the remodeling of the city's subway system. The city's revival continued when it hosted several matches during the 2004 Euro and the MTV Delivery Music Awards in 2005. Many of its most beautiful buildings date back to the 14th and 15th centuries, particularly those in the Belem district. There are also many 18th-century buildings, primarily located in the Baixa area of central Lisbon, which were almost entirely rebuilt after a devastating earthquake struck the city in 1755. The city's historic center, situated on Las Siete Colinas, features steep streets and charming alleys. On the city's west side is Monsanto Forest Park, known as Lisbon's lung, which spans 10 km and is one of the largest in Europe. The capital's impressive port has three docks frequently used for various cruises and is currently the busiest port on the European Atlantic coast. Lisbon is a city with centuries of history and an ambitious outlook, blending the historical with the modern, the traditional with the avant-garde. As you wander through the old quarters, you can hear the traditional Fado music being sung and played in small local restaurants. In the hilltop district of Bairro Alto, dozens of restaurants and bars line the narrow streets, with the sounds of jazz, reggae, and electronica filling the air and party-goers celebrating until dawn. Nightclubs scattered throughout the city creatively utilize old spaces, whether on riverside docks or tucked away in 18th-century mansions. Lisbon presents itself to the world as a cosmopolitan and vibrant city, offering something for everyone, especially during the summer months when its many bars, terraces, and restaurants are bustling with people.
